Question
hello,

i am fifteen, and am wondering about a moderately bald spot on my head. I feel like i have had it since (till i can remeber) sixth grade. It's not ocmpeltely a bald spot, but it's definitely noticably thin and the diamter of thr spot is about three or four inches. I hasn't gotten worse since then.
So Why do i have it?
And how can i make it less notecable, if possible?
and Will it get worse?

Answer
You most likely have a scalp condition called Alopecia Areata.  This scalp condition may or may not be associated with thyroid disease.  Thus, you need your thyroid tested.  In our clinic we treat this condition with intralesional injections of cortisone (5mg/cc) which is very effective.
