Question hi, iv just heard about this new method of restoring hair which involves taking a hair cell then cloning it into more hair cells.
My question is, roughly how long will it be until this is available.
Answer Some of the doctors involved in this project make it sound as if it will be available in just a few years but my guess is that we will have to wait until 2020. The time needed is for the fine tuning of finding just the right amount of growth factors needed from different parts of the follicle an then another five years or more for the FDA to be sure the newly formed tissue will not form cysts,various tumors or even cancers.
