ANSWER: This Type III MPB pattern is definitely a receding hairline but for someone 30 years old it is a normal mature natural hairline as well.

Answer That is correct. Hair loss is relentless. Male pattern baldness never stops. Even people who do not inherit balding genes still get slightly thinner as they age. MPB is not predictable. With careful history and years of experience looking at scalps it is possible to make a prediction as to how much hair someone may lose. Even if two people have the same identical genes for balding, as with identical twins, there are external factors which can stress one individual to lose hair faster than the other. Their bald patterns may end up being the same but the timing could be different.
