Question
Hello

WHAT IS THE BEST TREATMENT FOR ALOPECIA AREATA?

Answer
There is no one best treatment for Alopecia Areata. It depends on how extensive it is. A dermatologist would be the best person to see to assess the degree of loss and the appropriate treatment. Most of the time an injection of a corticosteroid into an early small spot is used to try to stop the body from rejecting its own hairs. A topical corticosteroid plus minoxidil may also be used to help but it is not as effective as the injections when the area is limited.
