Hair Loss - Eyebrow loss

Expert: Michael S. Fisher, Ph.D., M.D. - 10/5/2006

Question
hi i have a sticky dandruff that sticks to the individual eyebrow hairs and it causes them to fall off, the dandruff is very difficult to take off but usually when i do i have to pull it up and over my hair as if it formed around the base of the hair but trying to take it off usually results in the losing of that hair.

Answer
There are a number of good prescription shampoos that will help your skin condition. There is Loprox Shampoo and there is the new Salex Shampoo. Topical medications like Elidel Cream can help this condition. Nizoral Shampoo over the counter can be helpful as well as Cortaid or Cortisone 10. Dandruff is controlable but not curable. Visit your local dermatologist for the best prescriptions for your skin condition.
