Expert: Michael S. Fisher, Ph.D., M.D. - 9/30/2004

Question
forget genetics is it true that a mans facial go still be growing until he is in mid twenties becasue iam 19 and my facial is'nt thick enough my father and brother have full facial hair they can grow a thick beard fast is this bevasue im still in puberty
also can a put rogain in my face

Answer
You are correct that facial hair growth is genetic. Some men have more facial hair than others. If your facial does not increase by the mid twenties you will not develop any. Yes, you can use rogaine on your face. If you have side effects from rogaine like head aches then stop the medication.
