Subject: i want my hair relaxed, im caucasion

Question
i want to have it relaxed , i just colored my hair two days ago burgundy, i like the color , i have shoulder length hair (i cut it to give to locks of love, 12 inches) what are the effects of relaxing my hair if my hair isn't virgin and i straighten it like 1 to 2 times a week? i want to get it done at Fantastic Sams as i got my layers there for free, and i like the hair stylist. how much will it cost to have it done?is it going to ruin my hair like bad damage and falling out etc?

Answer
relaxed is a term used for straighening african american hair; using products designed for ethnic hair. if these products ar used on caucasion hair - they may work if stylist i sskilled......

causion products exist that will straighten hair ----- such as japaneese or thermal hair straighteners. these range anywhere from 300 up in price.

consult with a stylist who can examine your hair and make recommendation on what you should do
