Question Hi there!!
My name is Leanne and I'm 20 years old. My 21st birthday is coming up and I'd like to do something different with my hair colour.
I have blue-green eyes, dark brown eyebrows, and fair skin. I've been living in Australia for the past year and a half and so it'll be summer for my birthday, meaning I'll be pretty tanned (not sure if that makes a difference but I thought I'd add that in!). My natural hair colour is a boring dark brown, but I got blond highlights in it and I like it, but they're pretty much growing out now. I'm not sure if it'd be better for me to go blonder or darker... I'd like to try a lighter, blondish colour but I don't want it to look too fake, you know? I like a natural look, and I really like the idea of multiple colours in my hair. What do you suggest? :)
Thanks!
Leanne
P.S. If you know anything about haircuts... I have a long, thin oval face and I like my long hair but find it makes my face look longer. Any suggestions? I have side bangs but they're boring now!! Thanks HEAPS!!
Answer Leanne,
If you like a natural look, the you don't want lighter highlights. Keep them at the currrent level and when you have them retouched have a few lowlights added for additional contrast and depth. You can even have a highlight colour added not quite as light as the current highlight for additional dimension and effect.
As for the cut, long hair legthens a face. If you cur it to shoulder length it will make your face look a bit wider and not as long.
Best of luck to you.
