Question
QUESTION: I bleached my hair with the plan to color it back to my natural color, which is a dark blonde. I applied a semi-permanent color so as not to do any more damage and the color never took. So reluctently I spent over$100.00 for a salon to fix the problem and after 4 hours and 5 attempts to fix my hair I was left with playboy bunny white almost grey hair. HELP!!! how do I put color back in my hair any color

ANSWER: Tasha,
From the sound of it, it may be too processed at porous to hold colour at this point. I don't understand why it was bleached to such a high degree for a dark blonde. That makes no sense at all.
I would suggest just getting a colour renering or colour enhancing shampoo or conditioner. They make both in a variety of colours. I would suggest a golden blonde, which should deposit some nice tonality safely.  These deposit colour which can last from 1 or 2 to 6 or 8 shampoos. The colour enhancing conditioners also help build up the hair as well. You can find them at salons or beauty supply stores.
Best of luck to you.

QUESTION: Thank you for your help! I had been coloring my hair a very light blonde for a while and it was a heidious yellow with orange roots so I treid to color it a dark blonde and it turned green. So next step was to bleach it and try to color it back to my natural color. I like the idea of the color enhancing shampoos except a golden blonde will absolutely make my have turn red. any other suggestions? and when will I be able to color my hair and have it take.

Answer
Tasha,
Although a golden blonde COLOUR over your natural hair would make it look reddish, you HAVE no natural colour in your hair now, so you need to deposit some gold. I have an feeling that part of the reason you ended up as you did is because you insisted that the hairdresser not use any gold, etc., for the same reason you just gave me. That would definitely explain the current situation.
Right now, what I'm suggesting, is not COLOURING your hair, since it probably will not hold colour right now anyway. And when you DO have the ends tinted back, they will HAVE to use a golden or warm colour, even though it will not look warm when it's done, going over what you have now. What I am suggesting would give you some temporary colour (as I mentioned, 1 or 2 shampoos to 6-8 shampoos) just to deposit some tone and colour until you can get it to hold actual colour. If you use a neutral or an ash you'll be right back where you started.
Best of luck to you.
