Question
I have been getting highlight for about 4 years now. It is getting to expensive so I decided to go back to my natural color which is a dark brown. The stylist stated it was between a level 6 and level 7. The first thing she did was colored my hair red and then had to put two coats of level 7 color in. The first color did not fully take so she put a second coat on. Once I left the salon my hair looked and still does look black. Now that it has been about a week now the red is starting to pull through. What should I do?

Dark brown is a level 4. Unfortunatly the red she used is putting a wrench in it.
I suggest you keep shampooing for about a week 2x per day. Get some clarifing shampoo. Use the hotest water u can survive.
Write me back in a week. And if u can send a pic too, this would help.

| Comment | Thanks for the quick response. I will get back to you in about a week. I have been washing it 2 times a day to try and ton it down and now the red is coming through. She stated she used red so that coloring it dark brown would not turn my hair green. I am not sure what color scale she was using, but she stated it was between a 6 and 7 (Dark Brown).
