Question Hi,
My hair color is medium/light brown with blond highlights around my face. In the summer I go a little lighter. In winter a little darker. I love it when I leave the salon. I try to protect it with salon products when I wash. However, about 2-3 weeks later it turns a brassy shade, and almost has a red tint to it. We do have a high chlorine level in our city water. What can I do to help maintain that salon color?
Answer Dawn,
First of all, avoid hot water when shampooing, using warm or tepid instead. Also, try not to shampoo quite as often. Most people shampoo to often. Shampoo and condition one day and then just rinse really well and condition the next. Just these two tips can extend the freshness of your colour considerably.
Best of luck to you.
