Question can i use the No-Lye Conditioning Creme Relaxer on my bleached hair, i know it doesn't matter how long your hair has been bleached but it's been about 5 months, My mom is a cosmetologist and wasn't sure so she asked her teacher and she said she wouldn't but thats not a definate answer, Thank you
Answer Hiya Cassie,
It is highly recommended that you not relax bleached hair, regardless of what kind of relaxer you use. The best information you will get will be to call the manufacturer of the relaxer. There's usually a hotline customer service number on the packaging somewhere, but I can tell you this; in 27 years of doing hair, I have never seen a successful relaxer over bleach service.
You could cut a piece of the bleached hair and put it in the relaxer and see what it does, but I would not risk any type of relaxer over bleach. They are two completely different chemicals and the result will be severe breakage.
Sorry I couldn't give you better news. Try Mizani ThermaSmooth. It will condition and straighten your hair and it will stay smooth until it gets wet.
Good luck,
dana
