Question Thank you for taking the time to help me.
I am a dark brown brunette that had beautiful caramel highlights for about 3 years.
Then after a year of toiling with it, i decided i wanted to go blonde
I recently moved across the country and decided to try my aunt who is a licensed hairdresser. Bottom line, she ruined my hair.
I have had 2 appointments with her.
The first appointment she put bleach on my whole head. It turned out ok. Kind of a darker strawberry blonde.
But there were some blotches and i wasn't really happy, but i thought, the next process it will get more blonde, so i just held on.
A week ago i went for my 2nd appointment.
She proceeded to foil straight back from the front top to the back of my head with bleach, i guess to add highlights. But she left them on too long, therefore leaving my hair white, and burned.
So she tried to correct it by putting more bleach in the rest of my hair to even it out and then a toner.
Needless to say it looks hideous!
Now the crown of my head is growing new hair in and its coming back my natural dark brown. But the top of my head is like a canary yellow, with white, and the rest of my hair is orangy yellow with lots of blotches.
i am afraid to try to go blonde now and want to just go back to my natural color.
i want to use something at home, for financial reasons. (i went to my aunt trusting she would do a great job, and she gives me a 50% discount)
What should i do???
I hate being out in public like this!
Its really awful!
Thanks so much for your help.
Answer Kelly,
This might be fixed.
Go to a beauty supply and get Clairol's Second Nature #138, 139, and 142.
For every 2 oz of 138 mix 1/2 oz of 139 and 1/4 oz 142.
Combine this with equal amounts of 20 vol peroxide. Apply all over and leave for 40 mins.
this should do the trick close enough.
