Question
i have very long thick wavy/curly hair and it was very frizzy and un mangeageable.so i decided to put a wave nouveau in my hair to tame it an give it more defined manageable curls.the system worked fine at first but when i used a patine pro v conditioner two weeks later(which I've used in the past without a perm) my curls fell out an now my hair is frizzy again. so now I'm wearing it straight flat ironed .but its been two months now do i need a touch up? how do i keep these curls in my hair longer?or what else can i use to condition my hair when i have a wave nouveau?

Answer
Hiya Autumn,

Pantene is one of my least favorite over the counter products. It's possible to get the service done again now that two months have passed. You could try using a clarifying shampoo and protein treatment to bump up the curl but now that two months have passed it may just be time for a retouch. If you had done it as soon as the pantene relaxed your hair, it may have worked better.

Next time, use professional products. Wave Nouveau has home maintenance products designed to maintain your curl and I usually recommend that people use the home maintenance system that goes with the chemical service because they are designed to work in tandem.

There are some products that you can buy over the counter that are ok, but when you have a chemical treatment, it isn't worth trying one after another to figure out which one is going to work best.

All of the products that I would recommend are professional but I would use the products made to go with the service. Your stylist should be able to recommend other products based on your hair type and condition. He/she will be better able to recommend which products you can buy to maintain your style and curl. I'm posting a link with info on the Wave Nouveau that may be able to give you more information on their products and what you need to maintain your curls.
