Question QUESTION: is there any tips on how to growing hair healthy and how to
get rid of frizz and curly hair? and how to grow hair faster?
ANSWER: Hiya Krstine,
The best thing you can do to have healthy hair is be healthy yourself. A good diet, exercise an plenty of sleep is going to help your hair, skin and nails the most.
Regular trims, keeping the split ends away is a must as well. As soon as you see them, they need to be trimmed. They cause frizziness, breakage and make the hair appear dull. They also travel up the hair strand making it look a lot worse. Split ends tend to shrink up a bit when your hair is dry so if you cut a 1/4 to 1/2 inch every 6 to 8 weeks to keep them away, your hair will continue to get longer.
When you towel dry your hair, press the water out. Do not scrub it. The best thing to do is just wrap your hair in a towel and leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes and allow it to absorb the water. Scrubbing causes split ends.
Curly hair has a tendency to be frizzy. My favorite product, and I put this on every client who sits in my chair is Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum. It is a leave in conditioner with sun screen, thermal protectant and shine. It's liquid gold.
Avoid anything that is going to dry your hair out too much. Use your hair dryer on medium to low heat and if you must use a flat iron, put a thermal protectant on it first.
The only way to get rid of curl is to do a chemical straightener. Depending on your hair type there are several options. My personal favorite is the CHI Transformation System, but if getting your hair to grow is your first priority, the less you do to it, the better. Plus the CHI T System is expensive. Worth every penny in my opinion but it's amazing.
Use good shampoo and conditioner. Preferably a professional line recommended to you by your stylist. Even an expensive shampoo and conditioner needs to be the right formula for your hair for it to work.
There's lots more but that should get you started.
Good luck,
dana

QUESTION: do u know the best thermal protectants? how expencive is the
CHI transformation system?
Answer My two favorite thermal protectants are Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum ( I use this one on everyone who sits in my chair) and Kenra's Thermal Setting Spray. (This one has a bit of hold to it)
I also like SexyHair's Smooth and Seal very much.
The Chi Transformation System starts at $350.00 If it takes 2 1/2 hours it costs $350.00 However, it is $100.00 an hour after that, so if it takes 4 hours it will cost $400.00.
The thickness and length of your hair has a lot to do with how long it takes. Usually what happens is, you go in for a consultation and a test strand is done. You pay $50.00 for the consultation and take home a full sized kit to start using for anywhere from a day or two to a week or two (or longer depending on what your designer thinks is necessary). The actual service is schedule on the day of the consultation and you are given specific instructions on how to use the products to pre-treat your hair prior to the service. Then, the $50 is deducted from the price on the day of the actual service.
