Hairstyling/Itchy wigs
Expert: Kimberly Belk - 2/2/2007
QuestionI finally found a natural looking wig that that I love but but it is so much more incredibly itchy and scratchy than my other one. I've tried one of those comfy grips but it gives me a headache. I have thinning hair due to heredity and it's only getting worse. Do you have recommendation for what I should do or do you have a recommendation for a particular brand of wig you've had success with at your salon for thirty-somethings who like wearing longer straight hair and don't want to look like our mothers or grandmothers (no offense to anyone)?
Thanks for your help and advice.
Amy
AnswerDear Amy,
First, what brand of wig and type of hair are you wearing? That makes a difference. Also, you may try a wig liner, or you could send your wig back to whomever you purchased it from and ask that it be lined with silk. It's hard to recommend a wig that doesn't itch, as they all have the potential to do so, especially when someone has a sensitive scalp.
I recommend Georgie Wigs, Judy Wigs and Clary Wigs above all brands as they have the finest hair and will line their caps with silk.
Thank you for your question!
Take care and God Bless,
