Question
I have just purchased a new Icom IC-V82 the new 7watt radio they have come out with. I am having a problem programming it. I can get the receive frequencies programmed into it but have no clue how to get the transmitt programmed. Almost all of the frequencies I have programmed have a repeater but I can't seem to get it to hit the repeater. It just transmits on the recieve frequency that I have entered. Do you know anything about these radios....can you help me please?

Answer
You don't actually set the transmit freq, you set an offset from the receive freq. You tell the radio that you want to run duplex "dup" and you tell it what the offset is and you tell it whether that offset is up (+) or down (-).

You should find it on pages 17 and 18 of your manual. The manual is available online at...
