Question Hi. I work for Scholastic Scope magazine, which is distributed to middle and high school kids throughout the academic year. We may be interested in doing a story on Alyson. Usually, the stories we do on celebrities tend to deal with an obstacle that he or she has had to overcome, or with something that`s really interesting about his or her life. Does Alyson have something that she`s had to overcome (I think I read that her parents are divorced--has that, for instance, been an issue?) or did she get her first big break in a really cool way...or anything like that?
Also, if you could direct me to some good sites with further info, that would be great as well. Thanks so much...your help and expertise are greatly appreciated.
Answer Hey there! I would love to write this article for you. I know you didn't ask, but Aly is my all time favorite subject and it would help me on my pursuit to meet this talented girl. Anyway, one of her biggest obstacles in life was something we all deal with. Aly had a time in her life when she felt like a total outsider. She didn't feel that she could fit in. She dyed her hair black, which looks ghostly with her white skin, her life was just difficult because she wanted something that most normal kids didn't want(not sure of her age at this point). When she did land her jobs in commercials, it made it harder to fit in, but that much closer to her goal. She moved to LA when she was 11 to chase her dreams. She then landed her role at age 14 in "My stepmother is an alien" as Jessie. Funny thing about that, her love interest in that movie was Seth Green. After she landed her role in Buffy, and went back to her real and beautiful hair color, things got easier. But she doesn't want to be assumed that she's like Willow~other than the fact that they look the same. Aly isn't into computers as much as her character, and she may have a boyfriend (not a girlfriend) that's rumored to be Alexis Denisdorf (not quite sure how to spell that one) who plays Wesley on the spin off, Angel. She was once rumored to be an item with Marilyn Manison's drummer, Ginger Fish, who was the man she spoke of in her feature article in Cosmo Girl! She's a down to earth gal, that loves all kinds of activities, Dr Suess (her bedroom looks like it came out of one of his books) and dogs. Hoped that helped you out some!
