Question well..i got an Acer Aspire Desktop
Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.06Ghz
Seagate ST3808110AS 80GB SATA
512+256MB (-64MB for Integrated GPU) DDR-400
SiS motherboard
the thing is... my Hard disk drive keeps hanging randomly.. solution usually involves force shutdown and changing the HDD to the second SATA port.. sometimes even that aren't sufficient.. if i reboot without changing the SATA port, the computer wouldn't be able to detect the drive and hangs... Ive been having this problem for quite awhile now.. it isn't motherboard or HDD defects as it has been replace by warranty...
Answer Try going into the bios and setting the SATA settings to IDE.
Also try looking for a bios upgrade at the SIS website.
Check and make sure you have the latest motherboard drivers installed from the SIS website.

Make sure all cards a re installed correctly. Try removing cards and putting them in other slots - one by one. They should be plug and play but irq problems still happen.
