Subject: Defrag.

Question
I have a computer that for some reason I can not get the defrag system to operate. It was working fine, then it quit working.

Answer
Run checkdisk first. open my computer and right click the drive. Choose tools and click the button. You may be prompted to schedule at reboot.

If you have a windows disk (i am assuming you are using xp) insert the disk and choose to boot from cd. You will be prompted to install or repair. Choose repair. install # is 1. admin password just hit enter. Type chkdsk /r. there is a space before the slash.

You can also try a third party defrager. Ashampoo has a nice one that will drfrag and keep the computer from getting fraged up again. Free trial. Just 15 after that.
