Question
I have a Compaq presario v6210us laptop I've had about one and a half yrs.All lights come on except the hard drive. It just blinks once and goes out and nothing happens.Help. I do not have a boot disk. Thanks,Gail

Answer
Do you see anything on the screen at all?
You can try cleaning it out to start with. Buy some canned air from an office supply store. Blow the canned air in all the vents and holes of the laptop. Watch out for the dust.
There is a screw holding the hard drive in place. It should slide out to the side or front. Remove the screw and slide it out. Reinsert it and boot up.
If you do get anything on the screen let me know what is says or what happens.
