Answer When the computer boot to the manufacturer or motherboard screen, presss the correct "F" key to enter the bios or setup.
The correct key may be displayed at the bottem of the screen or you may need to check your manuals (it can also sometimes be the DEL key). The key depends on the manufacturer.
Once in the setup check to make sure it is seeing the SATA drive and that the SATA function is enabled. If there is a choice select IDE or auto for the SATA function - raid sometimes causes problems.
Then go to the boot order and make sure the SATA drive in question is set as the first boot device.
All these setting should be in there. their location varies by the manufacturer of the bios.
