Question
I'm am trying to install windows xp on my presario 2800
i manage to install 98% of program then laptop stalls hard drive light just blinks and nothing more happens any ideas please

Answer
When installing make sure you choose to format the disk where you are installing to. Make sure it is a full format and not a quick format. Failure to do so will result in duplicate files and will mess things up.
Make sure you are using an original windows disk or the disk that came with the PC. Copies can cause problems.
Sometimes you gotta wait for a little while at the end. Try the above and just let it sit when it gets to the point in question. If the hard drive light is blinking it is doing something.
