Question QUESTION: hi there i just thought are ask what the whole chambers of secretes was about? i mean why and how was it created and by who? also how come harry can listen to what snakes say? many thanks
ANSWER: the hogwarts school was founded by 4 founders. one of the founders, salzaar slytherin wanted to teach magic only to the wizarding community and not to the muggles. but the other 3 were of the view that magic should be taught to anyone who has an aptitude for it. this lead to an argument between slytherin and the others and slytherin then left the school before constructing the chamber of secrets(cos). the cos is supposed to contain something (a basilik) which can rid the school of all muggles. the idea was that the true heir of slytherin shall one day be able to open the chamber, unleash its fury and finally achieve what slytherin wanted.
also, harry can listen to snakes because he's a parseltoungue which mean he can talk to snakes. this ability had been transferred to harry by the curse that voldemort had used on him, the night harry's parents died. voldemort is also parseltongue and this is how harry gets this quality.

voldemort is the descendent of salzaar slytherin (and the last one that we know of). voldemort has inherited his ability to speak to snakes from his ancestor who was also a parseltongue. since voldemort is the descendent of slytherin, he was the true heir of slytherin and was the one who opened the chamber of secrets. the first time he did it was when he was still in school and the basilik had actually killed one girl. however, before the basilik could kill any more students, the staff decided to close hogwarts since it seemed unsafe. for voldemort, hogwarts was his home and he didn't want to return back from where he came. thus he had to wait for fifty years before he could come back again and reopen the chamber of secrets, which he does by putting a part of his soul in a diary that falls into ginny's hands. ginny(with voldemort's soul inside her) then opens the chamber of secrets. so it is voldemort and not harry who opens the chamber.

QUESTION: this has nothing to do with the chamber of secretes but why in the order of the phoenix did those 2 dormentors comes to harry at the start of the movie? and also why could harry see in his dreams what voldemort was doing to others in that long black room where the door was to all those crystal balls? also why did voldmort need harry to get that crystal ball?
Answer the dementors that attack harry were actually ordered by umbridge who wanted to defame harry, because she knew the ministry would never believe harry about dementors being there that night. also harry could see into voldemort's mind because as i pointed out before a part of voldemort resides inside harry. this forms a bond between the 2 letting harry see into voldemort's mind and feel what he's feeling. after a point of time voldemort becomes aware of this connection and uses it to his advantage. the crystal ball is actually the prophecy made about harry and voldemort. voldemort had never heard the prophecy for himself and now he wanted to hear it for himself so that he understands it properly. a prophecy can only be retrieved from the department of mysteries by the people about whom the prophecy has been made. since voldemort himself cannot come in the view of the ministry to get it, he neeeds harry to get the prophecy.
