Question Hello, I am debating the issue of writing an extended essay on the topic of harry potter and morality issues(found in the series). However, I'm having a hard time on finding instances where there are any major issues regarding right &wrong. Any suggestions? Or is the fifth book a waste of my time?
Answer Hi, Abigail,
I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I was thinking about this question for awhile. Harry Potter and morality is a wonderfully complicated issue to explore! I know it comes up a lot in the fandom and people have very strong opinions about it. Finding instances of right and wrong would depend on what aspect of it you're looking for. The major climax of every book is always a good/evil right/wrong show-down between Harry and Lord Voldemort or one of his minions. Exploring that main storyline in each book and all its implications would be the easiest place to start. The fifth book is definitely not a waste of your time! That book is actually one of the best in terms of all the various subplots and right/wrong underscores in everything. Definitely look into it!
Good luck with the essay! It sounds awesome! I hope I could help at least a little. Thanks for writing!
