Question
QUESTION: What is the best medical school? Is there a ranking for it?

ANSWER: Dear Henry,

Well, of course I think Harvard is best, since I went there.  University of Washington in Seattle, Washington U. in St. Louis, U.Texas in Dallas, U. of Alabama in Birmingham, Yale , Johns Hopkins and Columbia in NY city are other famous schools.  All of them are very interested in medical research.  Any US med school will train him to be a good doctor for patients.  I naturally think Virginia Commonweath Univ. in Richmond is excellent, but I work there and may be prejudiced.

QUESTION: What is a medical school curriculum? Would a gpa of 3.0 and an MCAT score of 45 do it?  Thanks!  I want to prepare as much as possible for medical school.  What career path did you choose?  One more question.  what is the highest earning occupations?  How can one afford a home of $155 millions.  I mean where does he get that kind of money?

Answer
First year is normal anatomy and physiology and biochemistry and psychology.  Second year is abnormal same. Third and fourth years are rotations through various hospital services, medicine, surgery, pediatrics, psychiatry, etc.

I don't know about MCAT scores.  GPA of 3.5 is sort of minimal.   Your college advisor can tell you about MCAT scores.

I chose cardiology.

Highest earning specialties are surgery, especially neurosurgery and orthopedics, which earn a few million a year.  I guess they borrow the rest of the cost of a mansion, but I never had a home costing over 300,000.
