Subject: Done my MBBS what else can i do.

Question
a couple years ago I thought I wanted to be a doctor and got into med school. Well now I'm done but i don't really want to be a physician or surgeon. Is there anything else I could do with my degree? Maybe something business related. What are my options if i take the USMLE or don't?
thank you

Answer
Dear Mr. Jauhal,

You can't practice in the US unless you pass the USMLE.  Insurance companies and many other businesses, like drug and medical equipment manufacturers, hire doctors to review claims or advise how to run the company.
