Question
Hi, i have just started to experience dizzyness the second i start eating - which continues for a few minuets after. I am 27, healthy living and diet, not stresses or on any medication - although i have recently stopped taking Microginon 30 contreseptive pills - about two months ago. I will go and see my GP of this continues - just researching at the moment. Any ideas?  Mny thanks

Answer
Dear Ally,

If the dizziness is spinning, either you feel like you're spinning or the room is spinning around you, that's called vertigo, and you should see an ENT doctor.  In many young people, spinning dizziness is caused by a tiny stone in the semicircular canals in the middle ear, and appropriate abrupt movement of the head by the ENT doc can shake the stone out of the semicircular canals and cure the dizziness instantly.

If not spinning dizziness, check blood pressure, be sure you're not anemic, and hope the dizziness will clear spontaneously and soon.

Please write back if you think I can help more.
