Answer
Dear Amr,

If the dizziness is spinning, where you feel you're spinning round and round or the room is spinning around you, see an ear specialist.  That kind of dizziness is the result of tiny stones in the inner ear and they can be shaken out by head maneuvers.  If your dizziness is not spinning but lightheaded. see if it only occurs when you stand up and if so, get your blood pressure measured while you're standing quietly for 1,3 and 5 minutes.  If it's below 90, that's the cause of your dizziness, and you should eat lots of salt.  Another common cause of non-spinning dizziness is over breathing.  Notice your breathing next time it happens and see if breathing slowly and shallowly helps.  Oh, be sure to count your pulse when you're dizzy.  If your pulse rate is below 42 beats a minute, please see a doctor at one.  Dizziness is almost always just a nuisance, not a threat to life or health.

Please write back if this note doesn't answer all your questions.
