Question I've been researching online a vacation for my husband and I to Hawaii this September for about 10 days. We would like to vist 3 islands, Oahu, Kauai & Maui. I have been looking at the island hopping cruise ships, but only see 7 day cruises, which I feel will not give me enough time to see all the places I am interested in. On the other hand, trying to arrange air, airport transfers & hotel reservations is overwhelming when I don't know where the towns are located in comparison to where the attractions that I want to see are. Can you give me any suggestions as to how to go about this?
Answer Aloha Fran,
The only cruise ship Sailing inter-island is NCL's Pride of America. If you only have 7 days it's a good way to see three of the major islands. I have taken the cruise and you do get a lot of land time, with 1 2/2 days on Maui and Kauai and 2 days on the Big Island split between Kona and Hilo. A lot of people do a pre or post package and spend 2 or 3 days on Oahu. So you can take 10 days and see quite a bit. If you do a land package you need at least 14 days because of the travel time flying between the islands. The best advice I can give you is to talk to an agent here in Hawaii, we have 16 agents here at http://www.hawaii-aloha.com who are experts in Hawaii only.
