Question Hi,
My wife and I want to go to Hawaii but we just don't know which island to pick. It's just the two of us. We love see a white sand clear water beach and go snorkling and have a few drinks. We also would like to watch shows or hula dancers. We love a night life. We are only going to be there for 2n and 3d. So we want to make the best of it but at the same time we want to keep it laid back if we get to lazy to do anything probably just enjoy the breathtaking views. We have Maui on our mind but we've been told that Ohau is nice island as well. Could you please help us.

For what you're looking for, yes Maui or Oahu are good. If you've never been here, then I would choose Honolulu and Waikiki on Oahu. It offers you a good first glimpse into Hawaii and you can do it all, go out at night, have breathtaking views even in the city, lay on the beach, swim and walk and see nature.
If you want a smaller city, still with bars and restaurants and beaches, you can also go to Lahaina or Ka'anapali on Maui but for first timers I suggest Oahu.
