Experience I work for tour agencies as a tour guide so have a wonderful island experience especially from the view of travelers and newcomers to the islands. I am also a high school language teacher.
Question I will be traveling to Maui on December 31, 2008 staying through January 10,2009. I already have booked my condo but haven't bought plane tickets. I have been watching prices. Currently, round trip is around $885 (tax and all) through Hawaiian Airlines. I am wondering if this price will go down closer to december or if I should buy now? The price has not fluctuated much in the last several weeks and there are still over 100 seats on the airplane, I'm wondering if the airlines will offer a deal to fill the plane up closer to December.

Answer Aloha Brandon,
I cannot give you a 100 % guarantee but if I were you, I would my ticket asap.
I predict prices will go up with our current economy and also around Christmas prices are always up plus a lot of people will want to come home to visit family and the plane by then will be full. Also in case the plane isn't full, they would rather drop another plane scheduled than lower prices. That is my suggestion.
