As a followup to your answer of 8/13/08, how long until ferry service will be up and running from Oahu to the big island?  We are planning in trip in Jan/Feb 2009.

maybe end of year or beginning of next year
if you do regular checks on our newspapers, when it comes out, they will be front page I am sure. Honolulu Advertiser and Honolulu Star Bulletin
And of course you can email again at the end of the year and hopefully by then I'll know
