Hello Bruce,

I am seriously considering a trip to Hawaii for my folks sometime between May-August, 2010. My parents are near 80 but in good health. First, I am wondering which month you recommend within that time frame. While I plan to spend enough for my folks to enjoy the trip, still I have to keep the cost in mind. They cannot fly coach (I will). My father loves to fish and my mother loves flowers and just hanging out on the beach and environs. I guess that's all I have right now as this is quite preliminary. Your advice will determine if I take this idea further. Thanks very much.

Aloha John,

I think that early May would be the best time to come given that time frame. Since I am not sure where you're coming from, it would hard for me to estimate airfare but First Class is very expensive, aifare alone could cost 5,000 easily. I think Maui is the best place for you and your folks however fishing my be a problem, we mostly have deep sea fishing. You might want to consider a cruise around the islands, with a couple of nights beforehand on Oahu, good for a multi-generational situation.
