Hawaii - snorkeling while 4 months pregnant?
Expert: Malia - 11/6/2009
Question I am about 4 months pregnant and will be going to Maui in a week or two...my question is can I go snorkeling? I'm not sure if I'll ever get to Hawaii again and this is one of the top 5 things I would like to do. My pregnancy is normal. And where in Maui can I find a tour guide that would take a pregnant woman snorkeling?
Answer Aloha,
Congrats on your pregnancy.
You will be able to tell your baby that you took him/her to Hawaii :-)
Of course you can go snorkeling, why not?
I went swimming until I was nine months pregnant, danced Hula too until I was about 8 months pregnant.
If you said diving, that would be different with the air pressure etc
but snorkeling is wonderful and also good for you, cause in the water there is less weight on your body.
And in case there is suddenly a problem Maui and also our other islands have the best care so no worries.
Enjoy :-)
Any tour guide will take you snorkel
I went sailing when I was almost due and my doc said hey baby is already in water so no worries
and all went well
