AboutMalia Expertise Aloha,
I can answer I would say about 99 % of all questions relating to Hawai`i.
Experience I work for tour agencies as a tour guide so have a wonderful island experience especially from the view of travelers and newcomers to the islands. I am also a high school language teacher.
Question Hi,
I used to live on Oahu for 2 years back in the 90's and I visit monthly in the winter to Oahu for business. My question is this.Is there a part of Kauai that will be dryer than the other ? I am taking my family therefor a week starting on March 21st-28th.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. As of right now I have a place in Princeville for the whole week for $440 through RCI.
Thanks in advance
Answer Aloha Tim,
If you're here every week, you know it's cool right now anywhere in Hawai'i (at least cool for our standards with temps. ranging from 60 F at night to 73 F during the day).
The Northern sides of all islands (windward) are always cooler so yes Princeville might be rainier and cooler than if you were staying in Poipu on Kaua'i which located on the Southern shore.
On the other hand Princeville is a beautiful area, lush and green and driving around Kaua'i is easy and fast.
You seem to have a good deal there, stay in Princeville get a rental and if pours, get into the car and drive south and spend a few leisurely hours on the south shore.
That's my advice. Hope it helps
