We are heading to Hawaii for our honeymoon, we are just wondering what type of the exchange rates the banks in Kona are offering on the Canadian dollar right now. Or if its better to change money at home.

You may want to check the exchange rates right before you leave cause right now exchange rates change daily and I am not sure how many Canadian $ the bank might be willing to exchange, especially in a small city like Kona.
Look at the websites of our main banks that also have branches in Kona: First Hawaiian Bank and Bank of Hawaii. Make sure you also check with them if the same rate applies if you don't have an account with them.
