I can answer I would say about 99 % of all questions relating to Hawai`i.
Experience I work for tour agencies as a tour guide so have a wonderful island experience especially from the view of travelers and newcomers to the islands. I am also a high school language teacher.
Question Its been my life long dream to live in Hawaii, ever since I was a little kid. I am in college right now, but haven't decided on what I really want to do. The one thing I am sure I want to do is live in Hawaii. My question is what careers thrive on the Big Island?

Just like me you love Hawaii and I honestly think if you want to live here with all your heart, you will always find something. As for the Big Island, depending on your qualifications, there are lots of rangers at Volcano National Park and lots of jobs in hospitality and tourism, from bus drivers to tour guides in different languages to dancers and resort workers. Finally there are a lot of watersports and there too there are many jobs available. But then there is agriculture as well, or simple jobs like Starbucks and Walmart. And there is a university, many schools and hospitals. So go for your dream and Hawaii will open its heart for you.
