Question QUESTION: Hi, my husband and i are planning our belated honeymoon in non. Its been our drean to visit ,we are going to maui, and oahu. I would like to know if shorts and top will be ok for a simple resturant, and if a dinner dress like a tube fitted dress, will be ok with a pair of heels for a fancy place. My taste in clothes is the fitted style, very fashionable, so please advise.

Hawaii is very laid back and almost anything goes here for clothes. Some really fancy restaurants require a jacket, otherwise all dresses and mostly shorts are ok as well.
You will see various fashion outfits in most restaurants, ranging from high heels and glittery dresses to shorts and slippers to Jeans and tank tops, also a lot of Hawaiian print dresses or outfits and Aloha shirts for men. Ties are out, you hardly ever see those.
But if you like to dress up for dinner, you'll be looking great and no one will look at you for being dressed to nicely I am sure cause over here we have so many cultures and styles that it's all acceptable.

QUESTION: Hello, thanks for your quick response. I forgot to ask you about luau. We would like to attend one, we were thinking of old lahina in maui, or germaines in oahu. Will a snug fitted coloured short dress, and high heel flip flop sandals do.
