Subject: Beaches in Waikiki

Question
Hi Malia - Do you know if the beaches in front of some of the big hotels on Waikiki are accessible to other hotel guests staying in and around the area? I have heard that all beaches are considered public.

Answer
Aloha,
You heard right.
All our beaches are public, so everyone can go to every beach.
Some hotel rope off part of the beach where they put umbrellas and chairs for guests only, but you can still go and lay right next to it and swim in the ocean right in front of it if you like.
