Question
My good friend Jack Meyer passed just a few days ago and we are in the process of planing a funeral. He was a great artist who embraced the your culture. I would like too know what should be worn on his day. Hawaiian Shirts?? and is there any do nots??

Answer
Aloha,
For funerals in Hawaii people mostly wear Aloha shirts for men or Aloha dresses for women. All colors are accepted, and the Hawaiians don't believe in wearing black for mourning either.
Chinese won't wear red as it represents life and is worn at weddings.
Other than that all goes.
I am sorry for your loss and I am sure Jack will appreciate a Hawaiian service from above.
Malia
