Hello S.,
It's possible that your incontinence is related to your back. If there is pressure on the nerves leading to your sphincter muscles anywhere in the spinal cord or on the nerve roots from many conditions -- most often, a disc bulge or herniation or arthritic, degenerative bony remodeling -- then that can end up causing incontinence. It can also be caused by other factors unrelated to your spine. The only way to know for sure is from an evaluation by a physician. The symptom of incontinence, when caused by pressure on the nerves in the back, is considered a serious and emergency condition, and the standard of care is an emergency referral to the doctor. I cannot specifically comment on your condition -- more evaluation is needed. However, do not delay seeking medical attention, especially if you are concerned the incontinence is related to your low back problems.
