Question
My husband is a 50 year old male who has felt bad all week and now has been hit with a sudden severe headache.  He has a history of blood pressure, cholestral and heart problems in family.  Has high cholestral himself and is in a high stress field of work and has been not himself lately.  I am extremely concerned.

Answer
Please note:  I am not a medical professional just a migraine sufferer with a good deal of migraine and headache related knowledge.  I am not providing medical advice.

Seek medical attention.  IF a person has the worst headache of their life or an unusually severe headache with a sudden onset, they should seek medical attention.  I am not saying this to scare you as everything is most likely ok.  It could be stress, from his high blood pressure or any number of things.  But it is important that he be checked out first.

If he is having any other symptoms such as numbness, blurry vision, slurred speech, difficulty walking or any other unusual symptoms please seek medical attention immediately.

Please let me know how you make out.  Also if your husband finds he may have migraines, tension headahces or cluster headaches I will be happy to provide more information on those.
