Could you please send me a format to create a good resume.
Also Could you please guide me how should i go to attain my goal..

Thanks in advance

Answer
Dear Kevin,

Thank you for your question.

I can certainly send you a format for improving your CV. Please write to my official address sdesai@transearchindia.com and I will send this to you.

Also, I would like to give you some pointers on how to improve your job search:

1. Posting a CV on web based recruitment sites is one method of finding a job. However, it sometimes takes quite a while before a really good job gets posted to you through this method.

2. It usually makes more sense to first make a list of all possible companies where you would like to work and also where your particular skills could be used. You can do this by taking the help of a NASSCOM directory which gives details of all companies registered with them, their sizes, their locations and what they specialise in. Then you should go to their individual web sites and check their vacancies or current job openings page and apply directly to the company web site.

3. The other method that works well is to start networking amongst your friends and colleagues to see if someone can recommend your name in their own companies. Most software companies have a refer-a-buddy systems of hiring that usually works well. So this method is probably the most effective.

4. Finally, you could also check if the kind of job you would like to do requires any additional skills that you could acquire while you are looking around for a job. This would help you in the future.

I hope this has been of some help.

With best regards

Sanjiv
