Headhunters & Employment Agencies - Tips for job hunting

Expert: Ed Freeman - 10/5/2009

Question
I'm recently made redundant - just find it odd that I got very little notice, is that normal?

Anyway I have asked all my friends if they know of anyone (networking), I am working closely with a few reputable recruiters and I am applying frantically for jobs. I write cover letters to suit the job ad.

My question is, what else can I do to get a job, please suggest some tips that you can think of?

Answer
Ben-

Thanks for your question.

Sounds like you are doing all of the right things so far.

You don't mention your field.
Most good recruiters have a specialty - mine is accounting.
Start with a google search for "(your field)jobs in (your city)" or "(your field) recruiter in (your city)" and
contact some of the recruiters on the results list.

We also keep a variety of helpful job search links on our site at http://employmentatlanta.com/#resume

Good luck!
