Headhunters & Employment Agencies - Real Work from Home Jobs?

Expert: Ed Freeman - 10/24/2005

Question
Hello, I have about 10 years experience with desktop publishing. I also have experience in these other areas: databases, proofreading, home inspections and management. I am extremely computer literate and almost always find myself as the onsite helpdesk guy at every company for which I have worked.  I am open to new opportunities from which I can work from home.
Do you know of any real work from home jobs? They almost all seem to be scams. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Landon

Answer
Landon-

Thanks for your question.

You are correct - there are many work from home scams out there so please be careful.

I would think your best bet is to work for a company for a year or two and then gradually position yourself to do some of the work from home.  Another option is to work as a free-lancer, but you'll need enough clients to keep you busy.

Bottom line- make sure the company is one that you can trust before committing to anything.

Good luck!
