Headhunters & Employment Agencies - Using a headhunter

Expert: Ed Freeman - 7/11/2005

Question
I was laid off from AT&T in 2003 and have not been able to find a job to match the salary that I lost.  I am considering using a headhunter to find me a new career. How do I go about finding a reputable company to use and what are the standard fees?

Answer
Suzette-

Thanks for your question.  You don't mention your field.
Most good recruiters have a specialty - mine is accounting.
Start with a google search for "(your field)jobs in Atlanta" or "(your field) recruiter in Atlanta" and
contact some of the recruiters on the results list.

Most recruiters charge the hiring company, not the applicant.

Good luck!
