Question Hi, I am currently a full time student at UNF (Jacksonville, FL) majoring in health administration. I will be graduating in spring 2009.
I will be done with all classes in Fall 2008 and that leaves me with internship during spring semester.I just started to volunteering at one of university hospital in Jacksonville as well. I was wondering if I need any certifications to get better jobs if its possible. I am a manager at store and also a tutor teaching elementary kids to junior high students. I would like to work in financing department in hospitals. (I am strong with math)
Answer If you want to work in hospital financial management, then I think it is imperative that you make sure that you do your internship with the finance office of a hospital. Make sure that you place yourself in an internship that will give you the opportunity to learn and also prove yourself. Hopefully, by the end of the internship, that hospital will offer you a position.
