Question I will be attending Governors State Univ this fall for a degree in Healthcare admin. I am a veteran and the school has notified me that my military experience will transfer into 30 hours toward a B.A in interdisciplinary studies (which would mean I would have about 2 semesters to finish that degree). I was wondering what would the benefits if any, to doing a double major, in healthcare admin and Interdisciplinary studies and what classes would be good to concentrate on for this B.A, I would eventually like to work in the finance side of H.A. Also I received some advice from you before and I begin volunteer work later next week in the medical records dept of the nursing home I'm currently employed at to boost up my resume. Thanks in advance.
Answer If you are that close to finishing the BA, then I would suggest that you pursue the dual degree. Aside from the HA courses, I would suggest that you take any business courses you can as well as some courses in communications or English, especially public relations and advertising.
