Heart & Cardiology/Heart skips when i take a deep breath

hi doctor, im 26 years old and living in malaysia. i have problem with heart when i take a deep breath my hearts skip beats. i do have this symptom since was in university. sometime its very scary. when the symptom occurs i become very panic and its not hurt or pain. is there anything could be done to prevent this thing from happen. please advise.

Hello Jack.

Skipped beats are normal heart activity, easy to understand as normal from knowledge of the heart's electrical system and occurring in about half of us.  They don't mean you have heart disease or will in the future develop heart disease or any cardiac catastrophe.
A deep breath will let the heart touch a lung or the chest wall and have a skipped beat.  That's normal too and you need not be afraid about it.
